Danny Sheiner

Danny Sheiner has been working as a jeweller for the past 14 years. Initially studying architecture, he was drawn to the traditions of jewellery making in ancient cultures, its creative freedom, scale and tactile qualities.

He ran his own gallery/studio, 3S, from 1998-2002 which provided space for visiting national and international practitioners and became a centre for innovative, contemporary jewellery in Western Australia.

Danny was president of the Jewellers & Metalsmiths Group of Australia from 1999-2000 and still maintains a close link to the art/craft movement in Australia. He also teaches jewellery and design at TAFE. Since 2002 he has been running the LOOP Design jewellery label and shop.
