Materials used

LOOP. has developed a distinctive style using predominantly two materials: sterling silver and resin. LOOP. now only uses recycled silver in all pieces. This recycled silver is then mixed with a customized alloy to create sterling silver (92.5% silver/ 7.5% alloy), making the silver harder, brighter and more durable than other cast alloys.

LOOP. also introduced a bio-resin in 2009 to the range: a water based resin with less than 10% petro-chemicals which is not only safe to use but EPA and LEED compliant. This is a very organic looking resin which has more the feel and weight of river stone rather than resin.
